20th C masterpieces, 21st C vision

Just as the planet’s population is about to increase from 6 billion to 11 billion inhabitants, and when the world’s urban population is overtaking rural population for the fi rst time in the history of Man, the issue of balance between individual and collective rights remains right at the top of the agenda. Which means that these conceptual creations initiated by 20th C politicians and urban architects maintain their value, albeit as ideal models, but as original models nonetheless.
